Kanazawa-based Japanese artisan Yuki Osako is known for making functional works of art from glass. Her methods of frosting and cutting the glass make her works totally unique, not only beautiful on the eye but also to hold in the hand.
This particular vessel is a small glass cup in which the glass has been faceted and frosted. Yuki has frosted the whole of this cup, but if you look closely the frosting fades to clear from the bottom to the top. This makes for a visually appealing piece that’s certainly one of a kind.
